A pal of ours happened to stop by one of the local gun shops to price out some .40 Caliber S&W ammo for his new Sig pistol and he saw this synthetic rifle stock for a Mini-14 on the consignment rack that he’d been wanting for a long time. Most of us only remember the aftermarket type stocks but this one is a genuine Ruger part.
And for only thirty bucks, it was a real steal…
The original walnut stock is at the bottom. The swap only took about fifteen mikes, with most of that time spent rethreading the sling through the rear swivel loop. The new stock also has a built-in recoil pad which makes this a perfect multi-use rifle for the entire tribe.
So, keep your eyes on target and stay focused. Bargains can be found it you stay diligent!
